Schools can serve whole grain food which contains more fiber and protein than white flour for breakfast while salads with low fat dressing, fruits and vegetables and other healthy and non-greasy dishes can be served during lunch.

Good nutrition is the foundation of a healthy and long life and to achieve good nutrition, we must start eating healthy even at an early age. It is during childhood that ones’ body is starting to develop and this is when our eating habits are formed too. The school year is about to start. Parents are all excited in preparing back-to-school stuff like uniforms, school supplies, choosing school buses, and the usual “waking-up” early routine. The issues at hand are not being addressed properly.
